Rest in peace, my beloved gateway 7330gz laptop. Today it died, I mean I can't even turn it on. The only sign of life is the blue plugged in icon. It already was suffering from a few sickness: Short breath, aka sucky battery life, as in it will die in less than 15 minutes unplugged. Also suffered from a black eye, aka screen was damaged, flickers, very freckled. Even with it's sickness, I still love it and count on it for some things but now it's completely dead. Actually, it probably committed suicide because it grew too old of my polygamist practices. That's right, I got another computer, my desktop. I actually use that a lot more. But just like the laptop, it have it's problems, like Ruckus won't install on it for some reason and can't handle video (mpg, avi, wma, mov...). Just flash, lucky for me, it seems everything is in flash nowadays so that's good. But anyway, downloading album quality songs from Ruckus legally and playing videos not in flash is what the laptop will let me do. Now I'm not sure what to do. I already tried everything I knew to fix these problems but no go.
I am broke and definitely can't even imagine how I'll pay the upcoming expenses for school. I need clothes, books, and even though my tuition, room, and board will be aided by loans and some fafsa, I will still have thousands left to pay. I don't like loans because I'm not even sure I can finish school let alone get that career job to start paying them back yet. But I think that's my option, I will have to get my sist to co-sign and whatnot and then I can get things taken care of. It's absolutely a must that I get nothing lower than a 3.0 this fall. Damn, I hate even thinking about my past work. The only way to get over that will be to do great this semester, heck, I'll be kicked out if I don't. So yeh, hope to get a new laptop, or desktop, or both soon.
Got a small list of things to do but I keep procrastinating. I'm even procrastinating what I am procrastinating those things with. I'm vectoring instead of those things yet I procrastinate vectoring as well. Argh, hope I become more productive and optimistic soon. Just rediscovered drums and bass again, and with the help of my stacks of mountain dew, they should help get me going.

Attempted Robbery
Some ignant high school-looking kids tried to rough my video iPod today on the metro. Actually it's my sister's. God though had my back even though I am a bit slow on my daily prayers and what not. I am thankful. Yeh, I felt it coming, I was in the up front cars, like the second one I think, near the door unfortunately, then they came in bunches. Common sense told me they poor, ghetto, and ignant. I didn't let them stop me from going about my biz watching music videos and all. When the train got to their stop, they all departed except for one, he waited right before the door closed, then made his move. I don't know if I know for certain what was coming but I had a feeling and so tightened my grip. In less than 3 secs he tried, failed, and ran like the bitch (excuse my language) he is.
Life lessons are always nice, I can't be couped up on this computer all day. So I have learned to pretty much reduce my iPod's visibility. From now on, I'm only watching videos in certain situations where I am confident no one will see it and in turn get jealous and start hatin. Which is the only part I might understand about this and place partial blame on myself as that is logical but still inexcusable and not right; poor person sees something cool in front of him... the person starts hating... and so on. Besides, I don't think I'm the stuntin type. Now what will I do if I recognize them again? Probably nothing, I'm not trying to get arrested or banned from metro over small things. I only ride the metro 3 times a week for my unpaid summer internship in DC.
Speaking of unpaid internships, I really hope it's worth it. I spend almost $10 a day on fares, parking, and gas everyday. I'm going to have to ask them for some kind of reimbursement of some sort or something you know. It will look good on my resume but so what really. Seems like I'm going to have to stop putting my GPA up there as I am struggling and going deeper than ever as I continue in my higher education. Life sucks although I am making moves to make it not suck.

Spring Break 2007

Maaan, I brought all the books I can possibly bring home to study over spring break... have not touched a single one. On the bright side I guess I have been chilling and getting a lot of rest. Naa, it was a waste of a break. Watched NCAA tourney (my bracket is destroyed) and sent off lil bro, my sis, and mom off to Naija, and that's pretty much it.
When I return, I'm just going to have to make sure I don't fail any of my classes. It's really ridiculous, in my CMSC 202 class, I need a B to move on else I have to repeat it. In my CMSC 203 class, the teacher is from another planet and really don't know how to teach... my grade there is up in the air, in Chem 101; I started off easy, understanding thangs, then things were pushed to the third gear and now I am left behind, but I think it's the most manageable of all my classes, then in Calc 2, wow, what an arduous course, I really hope I get no less than a C here. Well, aside from spending all my time in the library (so I say), I'm hungry for some basketball and so I'll be in the gym a lot too.

I love flickr and flickrleech. But using flickrleech is not the extreme of my laziness so I made some bookmarklets (just drag the following to your bookmarks/bookmarks toolbar and edit the titles to your liking) :
1. One click interestingness bookmark that shows the latest interestingness photos.
1.2 For a custom date.
2. Bookmarklet that prompts you for a flickr username.
Boy I am lazy haha.

Just got out of my first quiz of the semester (of Calc II at least). It was nothing but exponential function related problems. I kind was expecting that but still, I was lost most of it, froze up, and lost confidence... find the derivative of this exponential function, now the integral, why not the limit, heck find the inverse... arrrrgh!@!! Sons of a... I am imagining a scene where I massacre all e's... Poof be gone. Damn, I need a new/better studying technique. Just to sample the crazyness, it was like this.

Just ordered a bunch of stuff just now.

Newegg: Sony sports ear phones ($12) and finally for my desketop a RAIDMAX RX-380K ATX12V 380W Power Supply ($15), hope it will works. Shipping was $8, not that bad.
Amazon: A Mizuno Breath Thermo Headband ($20) and a GATOR FACE PROTECTOR($10) with 13 freaking shipping dollars.

Threadless: A Choice You Need To Make by Jalid Daccarett from threadless. My second threadless shirt, hope the 2X size is actually big. Not a big fan of small tees. It was $17.88 (with shipping and my $3 street points thing). All these made my account a hundred dollors lighter ($97.19 to be exact , oh well). Now I wait, still waiting on my text books too. Also uploaded a video on youtube haha. It was one of the few good games we had this season.

The work file for this is gone due to my whole hard drive crashing after an attempt to install Ubuntu. It really sucks. I always have backing up in the back of my head but I always feel like it's fine, you'll do it soon. This is the second time I've lost my working files (I think).
To make matters worst, another semester of college is on the way. Don't get me wrong, I love it, the fun parts; meeting different interesting cats, going to the gym, and having that on your own feeling. But it cost, costs a lot. Every semester I have to come up with the guts to ask my father for grande of money. I feel bad, he has too many kids, too many bills, and not in the best health. It's as if I am responsible and perhaps I am in someways. I ask myself, why didn't I get a scholarship? Why can't I get a good enough job that will pay for this (for whatever reason, I though working 40 hrs/week at KFC my senior will do... what an idiot). Now I think he's drained and it's time to for me to start taking out more loans. Sigh, outlook on life is a little blurry right now but hope I will make it.

Had a job interview/meeting today for an on campus web design position. I think it went well and I'm soon to be hired but still feeling um, not good... not sure why. Must be the fact that I try to study related rates in Calculus and not getting it, I try studying Mendelian genetics in Bio and not getting it, and other factors that just keep bringing me down. Well, I got an Calc exam and a Bio quiz tomorrow that I am not at all too sure of. We shall see how the next few weeks turn out, I personally think it will suck but I'm always pessimistic.
Argh...

College is beating me up again, have not gone to the gym in a while, programming projects are due, I study for exams that I barely pass if I pass at all, and I am not having any kind of fun. Too uncertain about life, feeling lonely and it's starting to hurt. Daily headaches at times when I need to be productive and get things done. Feeling negative, pessemistic, uncertain, everything out of order in my head.
Well that's ma situation right now. Hope I get into a better state. In the mean time, like I said, college is beating me up. I gotta really buckle down and learn calc and study ahead there. Then I gotta do my programming project. Just pay more attention in microeconomics and memorize all those terms (marginal benefits, cost, consumer/producer suplusses...), and then there's bio which I did pretty damn bad on my first exam. Good news is that they let you drop one. This will probably be it, but then I better get close to a hundred percent on all the up coming ones, it's not looking good there. Gotta service my temporarily donated car, going to try to wake up early tomorrow and come back asap.
Don't know what makes me happy... college football is slowly losing it's bond with me but I still like spending all Saturdays watching it. Vectoring and veiwing art been keeping me entertained again. In fact I will dedicate Fridays after classes, a vector day. Will hope to produce one every week. Been looking for that song from a Pontiac commercial. Recently ID'd it, but it was no where to be downloaded unless you buy it so I did: The One AM Radio - What You Gave Away (alias Remix). Aight, signing off.
